DO YOU HEAR THE VOICE FROM HEAVEN?

Have you ever seen the movie “August Rush”? It is a movie about an abandoned baby who grew up to be an exceptional musician. He felt his parents were looking for him; he had this hope within him and he never gave up.  He listened differently from most people.  As a young boy, when he discovered he could play musical instruments and later write their notes on paper, his heart’s desire gave birth to a tremendous passion or need which drove him everyday to play music so his parents could hear him and find him.  The story is fictional but some interesting points were made and they stick in my heart and mind and stir my love and desire to listen to the rhythm of God in His earth and join with His angels choir – or humans – or His Spirit in me to worship.

Quote from “August Rush”: “THE MUSIC IS ALL AROUND US, WE JUST NEED TO LISTEN…. “  he could hear the music which played in the fields, by the wind, or by the motors and busyness of city life, or clanging of  kids playing on the playground. It seemed that everything had a rhythm to it.  Sometimes I google and watch the musical parts of this movie on YouTube. WHEN WE HEAR AND RESPOND WE BECOME PART OF THE MUSIC….

When I read the book of John’s Revelation on the isle of Patmos, I am so encouraged.  There are many truths hidden from our immediate attention. Revelation 4:5 “And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.”

HERE IT IS THE FIRST CELL, HANDPHONE, OR SATELLITE PHONE CALL MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE:

NOTE: Amplified Bible, KJV, CEV, says:  rumblings; NASV, NIV, and OJB says: sounds, but the NKJV, ASV, And DR bibles says: voices.  Now each speak specific or in words descriptive of tonal qualities, i.e. A voice or voices.  Interestingly the Greek word is: φωνή phōnḗ translated: Noun Feminine “fo-nay’ ” probably akin to (5316) through the idea of disclosure probably akin to; a tone (articulate, bestial or artificial); by implication, an address (for any purpose), saying or language:–noise, sound, voice.  1.) a sound, a tone, 2.) of inanimate things, as musical instruments a voice, 3.) of the sound of uttered words speech of a language, tongue. (Strong’s Concordance)

So here is the neat revelation for me: I love to hear it thunder and see God’s heavenly fireworks show – lightning- but before the thunder and just after the lightning – VOICES – (cell calls) -  can be heard by those listening!  Are you listening? At Jesus’ baptism in water some heard it thunder, but John the Baptist and John who later became an Apostle heard the voice of God, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I AM well pleased!” Yes! Jesus! I want to hear the voices that sound forth from Your throne announced by lightning and followed by thunder! Open my ears that I might hear and receive your phone calls from Heaven!

Just this morning as I awoke my room began to shake, not from an earthquake but from the rumbling of thunder. Oh! Jesus, I have just written this note, I will run outside to listen for your voice from heaven!  Years ago in my late teens and earlier twenties I would go to the park and sit on the hood of my car and watch the lightning and hear the thunder and allow the rain to wash over me, might not be too smart, but I love adventure if only in a simple way.

This powerful storm fully filled the sky with clouds, dark ominous and foreboding. Lightning shot through the clouds and the wind began to blow, after a bit the rolling thunder could be heard, then it poured with rain, did I say Awesome?  Ha! Way awesome!  I pray that no damaging winds or lightning would occur, but I do put into practice what I have shared this night with you. Here is what I have heard the Lord Jesus say between the lightning and the thunder:

“I AM almighty God, trust in MY Mighty power, together we will do wonders today!  I wash MY earth that has been dry and scorched, with plentiful clean rain, I release heavens oxygen and cause MY refreshing winds to blow. These are simple things for ME, man can not duplicate this! Do not be afraid, but enjoy ME in the midst of the storm. Today you will be MY lightning rod, and I will strike you but not to kill or to damage but with lightning speed I will use you in the power of MY Holy Spirit gifts, many will be healed, delivered, freed, and prophesied over, I will continue to build MY Church. Expect mighty things this day and night!” (11 July 2011)

A friend of mine, a musician John Belt, has written an article on his web page which I would like to share with you.  For years I have listened to his music and been inspired to draw nearer to Jesus, in heart, spirit, and soul.  There is a special place of friendship and relationship that Jesus is longing for us to develop with Him.  I am presently writing this note while listening to a joint album of John Belt and Jeff Jensen: Mystic Glory, along with his album: Flight of The Eagles. I love his music, mainly the instrumental albums, I also love Ruth Fazal’s worship with her violin.  These artist’s worship causes the powerful presence of God to flow into my meetings.  Sometimes we are brought into Heaven, at other times the Glory Cloud of God’s presence becomes evident. I have experienced many deep things with Jesus! Finding God’s Rhythm

“It makes all the difference for us to get in sync with the tempo of heaven.  The world has a rhythm.  God has His rhythm that is completely different.  Heaven has a frequency.  We need to tune in to get on God’s channel.  There is a different pace that cannot be imitated, duplicated nor replicated.  The Holy Spirit is the means by which we can find His tempo, the beat of His heart.  The soul needs to come into alignment with the Holy Spirit in order for us to experience this connection.  When the soul is leading, (mind, will and emotions) it takes us off track where we miss the heart of God.  The soul must yield itself to the desires of the Spirit.

Let the Peace of God Rule

If we allow our mind, our desires and our emotions to dictate to us what we are to do then we will be misguided and not have the peace of Christ.  The peace of God is only discovered by those who have laid down the noise of the soul before God.  Life decisions, in the Kingdom of God, are not made according to natural reasonings.  We don’t look at the stats to make our choices.  Information can be helpful but the only factor that counts is God’s voice.  It is necessary for us to get on His wavelength, find His heart and know His tempo.  When things we feel are busy and out of sync, it is usually because we need to quiet things down.  The best thing to do is slow down.  Force your soul into a place of rest.   Take away all of it’s props and be still before God.  Take time to get rid of all of the noise, voices and distractions so that His peace and rest can be found.  This is how we “let” the peace of God rule in our hearts.

Colossians 3:15

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also you are called in one body; and be thankful.”

Reflecting God in Your Spirit

All music reflects the tempo or rhythm of another place.  Music reflects a source.  If music has the anointing of the Holy Spirit it will cause the image of God to be reflected in our spirit.  If the source is the spirit of this world we will reflect that same spirit.  Our being is affected by what we hear and absorb spiritually.  Our dreams will also be a by-product of what we are taking in throughout the day.  With this it is a good idea for us to think about the amount of time we are spending with God and what time is going to other places.   The more time we can spend in meditation on the things He has prescribed the better off we will be, the more we will reflect His image and be the people He desires us to be.  The first Psalm promises that he who meditates in the law of the Lord (the words of God) will be like a tree planted by a river that bears fruit in season.  It also promises that the “leaf will not wither“.  This means there is no deterioration, but we will be like an eternal tree of life.  Then God gives us the blessing without boundaries saying that’ “whatever he does shall prosper”.   Last time I checked on the definition of “whatever” it means everything.  When our hearts are in God’s tempo everything works, everything is blessed and we live in a place where His hand is resting on our work.  His Overflow Be Yours!” By John Belt

Jesus reminds me, He loves our worship, praise, meditation, contemplation and prayers and just us talking to Him and then lingering in His Presence to listen for His voice and words which will encourage us and lead us into His divine will and purpose for our life. Are you ready to enter in?  Set aside some time now.

As I have been writing this note several times my hands have been feeling like they are on FIRE, feelings of electricity coursing thru them and DRIPPING with Holy OIL, a sweet fragrance is strongly now in my room. Yes, Jesus, continue with your powerful manifestations and revelation, open my eyes to see You, to know you, to embrace you!  Wow! Wow! Wow! How Awesome is our God!

Today in Wisconsin meetings, those attending were hungry for a mighty move of God and they were not disappointed. Some received prophecies, specific to the point, one young man received a word to re-secure him in his ministry, “You have pain in your gut!” Yes, it was true! We prayed and are waiting to hear the Dr.’s confirmation. We witnessed the cloud of God’s glory, the release of His power, healing, and freedom. One young man was told he would prophesy.  I handed him the mic and he prophesied, “Freedom, I give you freedom to go out and win the lost and bring them in to Me!” Wow! What a first word of prophecy! This college student will never be the same.  Another student received a prophecy and he told the pastor, “That is it, when Rusty prophesied over me I knew it! I make a total commitment to Jesus’ and now I commit 100% of my life to this church!” Yes, Lord Jesus you are building Your church.

I send to you the Peace, Mercy, and Grace of Christ Jesus let it be multiplied unto you! Sing a new song unto the Lord, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourself in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melodies in your hearts unto Jesus our Lord.  And be listening especially when you see lightning or hear thunder, because where there is one peal of thunder there is usually another about to happen, and just before you could hear a voice from heaven. God bless you, and keep me in your prayers as I minister in the USA before returning to Asia.

Expect to hear Jesus voice and He will use you to shine with His glory in the darkness of this present world! (Isaiah 60:1-2, “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you! For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.”)

Rusty to speak in your church or cell group in Asia or States

Recently I was speaking with Peter Ow a brother whom I am mentoring in the prophetic ministry.  He is also part of the “Healing Rooms” located in his church in Singapore.  Often they are asked to go to the hospital to pray for people.  Recently he was asked to pray for a person who was in a coma.  Peter emailed me to ask a question, “Have you ever heard of anyone pray just using the name of Jesus? Rusty, have you ever heard someone pray that way?” I told him yes.  I have prayed that way, but not recently, and Bro. Smith Wigglesworth has prayed that way.  I told him of a message I found on the Internet of Brother Smith telling of just such a situation.  He was encouraged when he read the same message.

I have prayed for many people in Coma’s before. One thing to know is that a person can hear when in a coma, they just cannot communicate to those who are speaking.  With that in mind, when I am praying for those in a Coma, I speak to them as if they were awake.  Many times I will sing over them, but not loud, I will try and play some Christian music on my iPhone in the room before I pray for them.  And at times I have prayed the name of Jesus.  But when praying just the name, one must do it with the utmost reverence to Jesus.

Peter went on to say that when he prayed Jesus name, after five or ten minutes or it might have been three minutes, the comatose man sat up in bed and turned and looked at Peter, then fell back into the coma.  One thing is for certain when we have had them wake up like this we know they have or are hearing our prayers and we can pray releasing more power for victory!  Next time you are called to the hospital to pray for a loved one or a friend, pray in faith using the name of Jesus and watch the glory of Jesus touch them and heal them.

THE POWER OF THE NAME 
Scripture Reading-Acts 3:1-16

All things are possible through the name of Jesus. God hath highly exalted Him, and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow. There is power to overcome everything in the world through the name of Jesus. I am looking forward to a wonderful union through the name of Jesus. There is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 

I want to instill into you a sense of the power, the virtue and the glory of that name. Six people went into the house of a sick man to pray for him. He was an Episcopalian vicar, and lay in his bed utterly helpless, without even strength to help himself. He had read a little tract about healing and had heard about people praying for the sick, and sent for these friends, who, he thought, could pray the prayer of faith. He was anointed according to James 5:14, but, because he had no immediate manifestation of healing, he wept bitterly. The six people walked out of the room, somewhat crestfallen to see the man lying there in an unchanged condition. 

When they were outside, one of the six said, “There is one thing we might have done. I wish you would all go back with me and try it.” They went back and all got together in a group. This brother said, “Let us whisper the name of Jesus.” At first when they whispered this worthy name nothing seemed to happen. But as they continued to whisper, “Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!” the power began to fall. As they saw that God was beginning to work, their faith and joy increased; and they whispered the name louder and louder. As they did so the man arose from his bed and dressed himself. The secret was just thus, those six people had gotten their eyes off the sick man, and they were just taken up with the Lord Jesus Himself, and their faith grasped the power that there is in His name. O, if people would only appreciate the power that there is in this name, there is no telling what would happen. 

I know that through His name and through the power of His name we have access to God. The very face of Jesus fills the whole place with glory. All over the world there are people magnifying that name. and O, what a joy it is for me to utter it. 

One day I went up into the mountain to pray. I had a wonderful day. It was one of the high mountains of Wales. I heard of one man going up this mountain to pray, and the Spirit of the Lord met him so wonderfully that his face shone like that of an angel when he returned. Every one in the village was talking about it. As I went up to this mountain and spent the day in the presence of the Lord, His wonderful power seemed to envelop and saturate and fill me. 

Two years before this time there had come to our house two lads from Wales. They were just ordinary lads, but they became very zealous for God. They came to our mission and saw some of the works of God. They said to me, “We would not be surprised if the Lord brings you down to Wales to raise our Lazarus.” They explained that the leader of their assembly was a man who had spent his days working in a tin mine and his nights preaching, and the result was that he had collapsed, gone into consumption, and for four years he had been a helpless invalid, having to be fed with a spoon. 

While I was up on that mountain top I was reminded of the transfiguration scene, and I felt that the Lord’s only purpose in taking us into the glory was to fit us for greater usefulness in the valley. 

Tongues and Interpretation; “The living God has chosen us for His divine inheritance, and He it is who is preparing us for our ministry, that it may be of God and not of man.”

As I was on the mountain top that day, the Lord said to me, “I want you to go and raise Lazarus.” I told the brother who accompanied me of this, and when we got down to the valley, I wrote a postcard: ” When I was up on the mountain praying today, God told me that I was to go and raise Lazarus.” I addressed the postcard to the man in the place whose name had been given to me by the two lads. When we arrived at the place we went to the man to whom I had addressed the card. He looked at me and said, “Did you send this?” I said, “Yes.” He said, “Do you think we believe in this? Here, take it.” And he threw it at me. 

The man called a servant and said, “Take this man and show him Lazarus.” Then he said to me, “The moment you see him you will be ready to go home. Nothing will hold you.” Everything he said was true from the natural viewpoint. The man was helpless. He was nothing but a mass of bones with skin stretched over them. There was no life to be seen. Everything in him spoke of decay. 

I said to him, “Will you shout? You remember that at Jericho the people shouted while the walls were still up. God has like victory for you if you will only believe.” But I could not get him to believe. There was not an atom of faith there. He had made up his mind not to have anything. 

It is a blessed thing to learn that God’s word can never fail. Never hearken to human plans. God can work mightily when you persist in believing Him in spite of discouragements from the human standpoint. When I got back to the man to whom I had sent the post-card, he asked, “Are you ready to go now ?” 

I am not moved by what I see. I am moved only by what I believe. I know this-no man looks at appearances if he believes. No man considers how he feels if he believes. The man who believes God has it. Every man who comes into the Pentecostal condition can laugh at all things and believe God. There is something in the Pentecostal work that is different from anything else in the world. Somehow, in Pentecost, you know that God is a reality. Wherever the Holy Ghost has right of way, the gifts of the Spirit will be in manifestation; and where these gifts are never in manifestation, I question whether He is present. Pentecostal people are spoiled for anything else than Pentecostal meetings. We want none of the entertainments that the churches are offering. When God comes in He entertains us Himself. Entertained by the King of kings and Lord of lords! O, it is wonderful. 

There were difficult conditions in that Welsh village, and it seemed impossible to get the people to believe. “Ready to go home?” I was asked. But a man and a woman there asked us to come and stay with them. I said, “I want to know how many of you people can pray.” No one wanted to pray. I asked if I could get seven people to pray with me for the poor man’s deliverance. I said to the two people who were going to entertain us, “I will count on you two, and there is my friend and myself, and we need three others.” I told the people that I trusted that some of them would awaken to their privilege and come in the morning and join us in prayer for the raising of Lazarus. It will never do to give way to human opinions. If God says a thing, you are to believe it. 

I told the people that I would not eat anything that night. When I got to bed it seemed as if the devil tried to place on me everything that he had placed on that poor man in the bed. When I awoke I had a cough and all the weakness of a tubercular patient. I rolled out of bed on to the floor and cried out to God to deliver me from the power of the devil. I shouted loud enough to wake everybody in the house, but nobody was disturbed. God gave victory, and I got back into bed again as free as ever I was in my life. At 5 o’clock the Lord awakened me and said to me, “Don’t break bread until you break it round My table.” At 6 o’clock He gave me these words, “And I will raise him up.” I put my elbow into the fellow who was sleeping with me. He said, “Ugh !” I put my elbow into him again and said, “Do you hear? The Lord says that He will raise him up.” 

At 8 o’clock they said to me, “Have a little refreshment.” But I have found prayer and fasting the greatest joy, and you will always find it so when you are led by God. When we went to the house where Lazarus lived there were eight of us altogether. No one can prove to me that God does not always answer prayer. He always does more that that. He always gives the exceedingly abundant above all we ask or think. 

I shall never forget how the power of God fell on us as we went into that sick man’s room. O, it was lovely! As we circled round the bed I got one brother to hold one of the sick man’s hands and I held the other; and we each held the hand of the person next to us. I said, “We are not going to pray, we are just going to use the name of Jesus.” We all knelt down and whispered that one word, “Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!” The power of God fell and then it lifted. Five times the power of God fell and then it remained. But the person who was in the bed was unmoved. Two years previous someone had come along and had tried to raise him up, and the devil had used his lack of success as a means of discouraging Lazarus. I said, “I don’t care what the devil says; if God says he will raise you up it must be so. Forget everything else except what God says about Jesus.” 

The sixth time the power fell and the sick man’s lips began moving and the tears began to fall. I said to him, “The power of God is here; it is yours to accept it.” He said, “I have been bitter in my heart, and I know I have grieved the Spirit of God. Here I am helpless. I cannot lift my hands, nor even lift a spoon to my mouth.” I said, “Repent, and God will hear you.” He repented and cried out, “O God, let this be to Thy glory.” As he said this the virtue of the Lord went right through him. 

I have asked the Lord to never let me tell this story except as it was, for I realize that God can not bless exaggerations. As we again said, “Jesus! Jesus! Jesus !” the bed shook, and the man shook. I said to the people that were with me, “You can all go down stairs right away. This is all God. I’m not going to assist him.” I sat and watched that man get up and dress himself. We sang the doxology as he walked down the steps. I said to him, “Now tell what has happened.” 

It was soon noised abroad that Lazarus had been raised up and the people came from Llanelly and all the district round to see him and hear his testimony. And God brought salvation to many. This man told right out in the open air what God had done, and as a result many were convicted and converted. All this came through the name of Jesus, through faith in His name, yea, the faith that is by Him gave this sick man perfect soundness in the presence of them all. 

Peter and John were helpless, were illiterate, they had no college education. They had been with Jesus. To them had come a wonderful revelation of the power of the name of Jesus. They had handed out the bread and fish after Jesus had multiplied them. They had sat at the table with Him and John had often gazed into His face. Peter had often to be rebuked, but Jesus manifested His love to Peter through it all. Yea, He loved Peter, the wayward one. O, He’s a wonderful lover! I have been wayward, I have been stubborn, I had an unmanageable temper at one time, but how patient He has been. I am here to tell you that there is power in Jesus and in His wondrous name to transform anyone, to heal anyone. 

If you will see Him as God’s Lamb, as God’s beloved Son who had laid upon Him the iniquity of us all, if only you will see that Jesus paid the whole price for our redemption that we might be free, you can enter into your purchased inheritance of salvation, of life and of power. 

Poor Peter, and poor John! They had no money! But they had faith, they had the power of the Holy Ghost, they had God. You can have God even though you have nothing else. Even though you have lost your character you can have God. I have seen the worst men saved by the power of God. 

I was one day preaching about the name of Jesus and there was a man leaning against a lamp-post, listening. It took a lamp-post to enable him to keep on his feet. We had finished our open-air meeting, and the man was still leaning against the post. I asked him, “Are you sick?” He showed me his hand and I saw beneath his coat, he had a silver handled dagger. He told me that he was on his way to kill his unfaithful wife, but that he had heard me speaking about the power of the name of Jesus and could not get away. He said that he felt just helpless. I said, “Get you down.” And there on the square, with people passing up and down, he got saved. 

I took him to my home and put on him a new suit. I saw that there was something in that man that God could use. He said to me the next morning, “God has revealed Jesus to me; I see that all has been laid upon Jesus.” I lent him some money, and he soon got together a wonderful little home. His faithless wife was living with another man, but he invited her back to the home that he had prepared for her. She came: and, where enmity and hatred had been before, the whole situation was transformed by love. God made that man a minister wherever he went. There is power in the name of Jesus everywhere. God can save to the uttermost. 

There comes before me a meeting we had in Stockholm that I shall ever bear in mind. There was a home for incurables there and one of the inmates was brought to the meeting. He had palsy and was shaking all over. He stood up before 3,000 people and came to the platform, supported by two others. The power of God fell on him as I anointed him in the name of Jesus. The moment I touched him he dropped his crutch and began to walk in the name of Jesus. He walked down the steps and round that great building in view of all the people. There is nothing that our God cannot do. He will do everything if you will dare to believe. 

Someone said to me, “Will you go to this Home for Incurables?” They took me there on my rest day. They brought out the sick people into a great corridor and in one hour the Lord set about twenty of them free. 

The name of Jesus is so marvelous. Peter and John had no conception of all that was in that name; neither had the man, lame from his mother’s womb, who was laid daily at the gate; but they had faith to say, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And as Peter took him by the right hand, and lifted him up, immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength, and lie went into the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. God wants you to see more of this sort of thing done. How can it be done? Through His name, through faith in His name, through faith which is by Him. 

REVIVALS IN SCANDINAVIA 

The writer had the privilege for three months one year of being in the center of Mr. Smith Wigglesworth’s meetings in both Sweden and Denmark. It was a time of visitation from on high. I dare to say that hundreds of people received Jesus as their Saviour, thousands were healed from all kinds of diseases, also thousands of believers awoke to a new life, and many, many received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost as on the day of Pentecost. For all thus we give glory to Jesus. Here are a few examples of miracles my eyes have seen. 

It was in Orebro (Sweden) where at that time there was held a Pentecostal Convention. I came to seek help myself, being worn out with long, unbroken service in the Lord’s work. The next day there was a meeting for healing. After the preaching service I went forward into the other hall and I was surprised to find in a few minutes a crowd following. The hall was soon full with hundreds of men and women patiently waiting for a touch of God through His servant, and, glory to God, we were not disappointed. As hands were laid upon me the power of God went through me in a mighty way. I was immediately well. 

It was wonderful to notice, as the ministry continued, the effect upon the people as the power of the Lord came over them. Some lifted their hands, crying, “I am healed! I am healed!” Some fell on the platform under the power of the Spirit, having to be helped down. Others walked away as in a dream; others as drunk with new wine, lost to everything but God; but all had faces as transfigured with the glory of the Lord and magnifying Jesus. A young blind girl, as she was ministered to, cried out, “Oh, how many windows there are in this hall!” During the three weeks the meeting continued the great chapel was crowded daily, multitudes being healed and many saved. The testimony meetings were wonderful. One said, “I was deaf, they prayed, and Jesus healed me.” Another, “I had consumption, and I am free.” And so on. 

At Skofde, in the smaller hall, set apart for those seeking the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, I shall never forget the sight, how the people with eyes closed and hearts uplifted to God waited. Did the Holy Spirit fall upon them? Of course He did. Here also many were healed. At another place there was a young man whose body was spoiled because of sin, but the Lord is merciful with sinners. He was anointed, and when hands were laid on, the power of God went mightily over him. He said, “I am healed,” but being broken down, he cried as a little child, confessing his sin; at the same moment the Lord saved him. Glory to God! He went into the large hall and testified to salvation and healing. 

At Stockholm, long queues waited for hours to get in. The hall held 1,800 people. At nearly every meeting crowds were unable to enter the building, but they waited on, often hours and hours, for the chance, if any left the building to step into the place. Here a man with two crutches, his whole body shaking with palsy, is lifted onto the platform. (Behind him five or six hundred more are waiting for help.) This man is anointed and hands laid upon him in the Name of Jesus. He is still shaking. Then he drops one crutch, and after a short time the other one. His body is still shaking, but he takes the first step out IN FAITH. Will it be? He lifts one foot and then the other, walks round the platform. The onlookers rejoice with him. Now he walks around the auditorium. Hallelujah! 

During this meeting a woman began to shout and shout. The preacher told her to be quiet, but instead she jumped up on a chair, flourishing her arms about, and crying, “I am healed! I am healed! I had cancer in my mouth, and I was unsaved; but during the meeting, as I listened to the Word of God, the Lord has saved me and healed me of cancer in my mouth.” She shouts again, “I am saved! I am saved! I am healed of cancer l” She was quite beside herself. The people laughed and cried together. 

Here was another woman unable to walk, sitting on a chair as she was ministered to. Her experience was the same as hundreds of others. She rose up, looking around, wondering if after all it was a dream. Suddenly she laughed and said, “My leg is healed.” Afterwards she said, “I am not saved,” and streams of tears ran down her face. They prayed for her, and later she left the meeting healed and saved and full of joy. We have a wonderful Saviour; glory to His Holy Name! 

Out of many many miracles in Norway, I quote two taken from Pastor Barratt’s paper, “Korsets Seir” (the Victory of the Cross). A man and his son came in a taxi to the meeting. Both had crutches. The father had been in bed two years and was unable to put his leg to the ground. He was ministered to. He dropped both crutches, walking and praising God. When the son saw this he cried out, “Help me too,” and after a little while the father and son, without crutches and without taxi, walked away from the hall together. That word again is manifested; the same Jesus, the wonder-working Jesus is just the same today. 

Now Copenhagen, my homeland! During three weeks thousands daily attended the meetings. Each morning two or three hundred were ministered to for healing. Each evening the platform was surrounded. Again and again, as each throng retired another company came forward seeking salvation. Here many were baptized in the Holy Ghost. The testimony meetings were wonderful. 

Now I will close with a vision a brother had who attended these meetings. He was lost in intercession for the hundreds of sick waiting to be ministered to for healing. He saw an opening from the platform, where the sick were, right into the glory. He saw wonderful beings in the form of men resting who, with interest, looked on. Again he looked at the platform and saw a heavenly Being clothed in white, who all the time was more active than any other in helping the sick, and when HE touched them the effect was wonderful. Bent forms were made straight, their eyes shone, they began to glorify and praise the Lord. A Voice said: “Healings are the smallest of the gifts; it is but a drop in the bucket in view of what God has in store for His children. Ye shall do greater works than these.”Anna Lewini in “Confidence.”

Good NEWS! God is doing Wonders! Ask Him! He is ready to use you, if you seek to glorify Jesus!

In the next few weeks I will share with you five great Greek words that are translated in English and used for the word “POWER” from the scriptures.

As we understand these scriptures and their meaning, allow the Holy Spirit to activate them in your lives.    He was sent to us by Jesus to equip us, to activate in us, and confirm through us the effects of His POWER. Yield to the Holy Spirit, He is waiting to help you, fill you, use you, and glorify Jesus through you!

HE GAVE THEM THE POWER – AUTHORITY

“And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, HE GAVE THEM POWER over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and disease…And as you go, preach, saying, The Kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” Math. 10:1, 7-8 (capitals are mine)

Note: HE GAVE THEM POWER: this phrase is more than mere words. It means, Jesus gave them or delegated to them the power that He Himself possessed that is, “AUTHORITY”. The Greek word is: ‘elcousi’a, transliterated or sounds like: exousia.’ It also means: authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right to act, ability, privilege, capacity, and strength.

EXAMPLE: I use this type of POWER or AUTHORITY in the natural sense everytime I leave the USA. I give my wife, Mildred, MY POWER, that is my power of attorney. She has the legal right to sign my name, do business in my name, and transact all things needing my signature POWER. It is like, she is me, for the time that I am away.

In this scripture, Jesus, is giving us His disciples, His power of attorney to carry out His business in His name on the Earth.    EXOUSIA also means the power of rule or government: The power of him whose will and commands must be submitted to by others and obeyed. This is the type of authority or power Jesus has given to you and me.

In Luke 10:19 Jesus said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

When we preach or pray for the sick, we use no other name but the name of Jesus. For the POWER of God is released in JESUS NAME. The next time you cast out a demon, remember, you have authority, THE RIGHT TO ACT, the right to cast him out. Once that enemy knows that you believe what you are saying is the truth or he hears the voice of your authority, he will yield his ground and leave. But he will never leave if in your heart your voice reveals any unbelief.

Matthew 7:29 says, “For He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes”

Matthew 9:6 says, “But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, to the sick of the palsy, Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.”

The Apostle Paul used this authority often as we see in Acts 26:18 where he states, “…To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power (authority) of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”

Let His power and authority possess you. Act like a disciple who has the power to act! Be bold and you will be strong and do exploits for Jesus.

This EXOUSIA POWER is resident in the name of JESUS and in the BLOOD OF JESUS. When you discover, accept, and act on these truths your ministry will become powerful and the devil will begin to fear and respect you. His departure will be swift, for he will not hear your voice but the voice of Jesus speaking through you!

It is with this AUTHORITY or POWER given to me by Jesus that I boldly pray for the sick, dying, hurting, and lost people expecting a MIRACLE! While expecting the miracle, I at the least believe for immediate relief of their suffering so that the person’s faith will rise up to accept their healing.

Sometimes like Jesus, I don’t even need to lay my hands on the sick one, I can command the healing or miracle to come forth, or I can pray for them over the Internet, or over the phone, or in a letter when I use HIS POWER, the name of Jesus. Jesus prayed for the Centurion’s servant and in that very hour he was healed, Jesus never saw him physically to pray for him.

SPIRIT OF WITCHCRAFT MEETS RUSTY WITH EXOUSIA POWER

Several years ago when I was pastoring in Oxford, England, one of my members, Bill, who served in the military questioned me wondering if demons were real. He called me one night and said that he and a friend had just won a fellow military servicewoman to the Lord. He told me that when they began to pray for her and ask Jesus to cover her in His blood, she began to hiss and jumped on the back of the couch and scratched the wall like a cat. Although he had joy in her decision to receive Jesus, he now was desperately asking for my assistance.

I told him say this, “In the NAME of Jesus I bind you devil, you spirit of witchcraft, leave her alone. You have to leave.”

I then asked Bill, “What did she do?” He said, “Wow! She immediately sat down on the couch.” “Great, God bless you, and have good night,” I said. “No! Pastor Rusty, I believe now demons are real! Come to my home and help me cast this thing out of her!” Bill said. I joyfully went, knowing that I had AUTHORITY – EXOUSIA POWER, over this enemy of the Cross of Jesus.

When I went into Bill’s home, I saw this woman being calmed by her friends. Her demeanor changed drastically when she looked directly into my eyes. With a start she immediately jumped on the back of the couch, screaming, and scratching the wall like a cat. Looking intently into her eyes, I commanded the spirit of witchcraft to be quiet, and for the woman to sit down, and she immediately obeyed.

Upon speaking with her further she said she was a white witch. After she repented of her witchcraft sins, the demons left hurriedly, as we commanded them to go in the  NAME OF JESUS!

THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS IS THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY THAT CAN RELEASE HIS POWER TO HEAL:

Shirley Edelstien was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church here in Gainesville, Florida, in 2003. Later in that year she gave a testimony at this church. Her faith was prompted by the testimonies that I have shared from this webpage, read now and let your faith rise up to move in His POWER:

“I have been greatly encouraged by Rusty’s testimonies over the last few months, and I was strengthened by the Holy Spirit to believe that God would heal my husband Marc, who is a pre-believer.

Surprisingly Marc agreed to attend church with me, at Daytona Beach, Fl., where we will be relocating for our retirement. At my new Anglican/Episcapol Church home, Church of the Holy Child, our Rector asked for Marc and me to come forward for prayer, he also invited all the church members to come forward to pray. My faith reached out and prayed in agreement with the Rector, that the tumor in Marc’s lung would be gone, benign, and that the surgeons hands would be guided by the Lord, and the recovery time would be short.”

After the churches prayer Marc received a tremendous peace and all the agitation was gone. Somebody at the church had a vision that Marc was healed and told him. Marc unsure of what the man told him, just kept it to himself, but when I heard it I was awed, feeling goose bumps all over me.

Remembering what Rusty said about speaking or praying out loud, I took a bold step of faith and speaking out loud I prayed over Marc in the hospital room just before his surgery. This was my first time to step out in this type of faith, but I just knew that God was there, and He would bring the healing to pass. Her Gainesville Rector, Rev. Alex Farmer, came in just after that, and he agreed with me for the same thing to take place:

“Lung tumor would be gone, or benign, the surgeon’s hands would be guided by the Lord, and the recovery time would be short.”

“The last three years have been a roller coaster ride with Marc’s health – colon cancer surgery in 2000, lung cancer surgery in 2001 followed by treatment, metastasized lung cancer in 2002 with treatment and then another growth in the lung the first of this year, 2003. __

Following two scans showing the growth, they decided to do lung surgery again and remove another one half lobe, this time from the left side. The Lord has had his hand on Marc throughout this time, making recovery and treatment quite easy for him, compared to what others go through. – I found out recently that he had only a 15% chance of surviving the metastasized cancer last year.

When the surgeon performed surgery on April 30th, they could NOT FIND ANYTHING! -Three of them tried to find it, on the next day by another scan with intent to do a biopsy – there was NOTHING there! – Praise the Lord!

Marc is trying to understand all of these things, like why he went to church with me in the first place? God is good, all the time!”

Rev. Alex Farmer, a Gainesville, Anglican/Episcapol Rector told me, “Rusty, I have prayed for healing in the past but this is the first time I have witnessed such a big miracle in my ordained ministry through the prayer of agreement!”

Praise God! Saints are arising all over the World to believe God for miracles! Be encouraged, in God’s plan, each country has it’s purpose, each people group has a calling to receive the gospel preached and become part of His kingdom. They simply need those who will reach them with the POWER of the gospel. Where is your people group? They could be in your city and country, they could be in your neighborhood? Ask God to use and anoint you with His EXOUSIA-POWER evangelism, for the victory is ours in the name of Jesus!

Keep the faith, call on the Lord, He is ready to answer all those who call on Him from a pure heart, or even from a place of desperation! (Psalms 107:1-6):

“1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.  2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,  And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west,  from the north and from the south.  They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; They found no city to dwell in.   Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them.   Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,   And He delivered them out of their distresses.”

I find great help and hope is released in me when I read the Scriptures,

when I read them OUT LOUD and make my Confessions focusing on the reality of

their Power realized in me ~ I am Energized into greater Health!

Hosea 4:6………….My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

CONFESSION: I increase my health and I am freed from destruction as I increase my knowledge of the Word of God – His Bible!

Galatians 3:13…………Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us…

CONFESSION: All curses of sickness and bad health inheritances have no more power over me!  I accept Jesus finished work on the Cross, I apply His remedy, I am redeemed from the curse of the law and from all inherited diseases by applying the cross of Jesus now.

Isaiah 53:5………….He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

CONFESSION: This prophesy of the promise of Messiah to come and his redemptive work to set me free along with all mankind also held the promise that Messiah would heal our bodies by his stripes.  I accept this promise as mine.

1Peter 2:24……….(Jesus) bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed.

CONFESSION: I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior, His sacrificed life, fulfilled the requirements of the Law which would have damned me to Hell.  Now I am freed from all my sins and can live unto righteousness, HIS STRIPES ALPIED HAVE HEALED MY BODY.

Matthew 8:17………….He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.

CONFESSION: All of the infirmities and sicknesses attacking my body have no more power or right to reside in me, since the victory over them was received when Jesus died on the cross for my redemption. His resurrection guaranteed my freedom which I accept now and apply.

Psalm 107:20………He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

CONFESSION: I receive God’s words from the Bible, and confirmed by Jesus.  His Word heals me and delivers me from all destructions sent against me to destroy me.

Proverbs 3:7…………Do not be wise in your own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from evil.

CONFESSION: I choose to FEAR THE LORD, I hold Him in total respect, He is awesome in my life, He gives me the ability to depart from evil.  Evil has no right over me, but must flee from me. I resist it now!

James 4:7…….So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.

CONFESSION: I submit myself to God. I resist the devil, I stand firm against him, and I receive the promise ~ he will flee (run in terror of) me. I make Jesus my strength, I accept Jesus, I turn from sins, Jesus is my salvation.

Proverbs 3:5-8 ..Amplf……….5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

7 Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil.  It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones.

CONFESSION: I recognize and acknowledge Jesus. His truth and wisdom is higher than me. I lean on, trust in, and I am confident in my heart and mind that I am led into His will. He directs my paths, my health and strength, my nerves and sinews, and the marrow of my bones are full of health as I reverently fear and worship Jesus. (Marrow: White corpuscles grow releasing into my body to fight diseases)

Exodus 15:26…………I am the Lord who heals you.

CONFESSION: Yes, You are the Lord and you heal me, thank you, Jesus.

Psalm 103:3………..Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases…

CONFESSION: I am forgiven and I receive healing now.

Exodus 23:25………..serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.

CONFESSION: My bread and water are blessed! I love to serve the Lord and He takes from my midst sickness, thank you Jesus!

Proverbs 16:24………Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.

CONFESSION: Health are in my bones, I chose to speak pleasant words, they become to me sweetness like the honeycomb to my soul.

Isaiah 58:8………….your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.

CONFESSION: My healing comes forth speedily, and my righteousness goes before me as I glorify the Lord.  He will also be my rear guard when I follow the commands of His words.

Psalms 118:17……….I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

CONFESSION: I shall not die, but live to declare the works of the Lord.

Psalms 147:3………..He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

CONFESSION: My wounds are bound up and my broken heart is healed by the Lord.

Proverbs 7:22………A merry heart does good, like a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.

CONFESSION: I choose to have a merry heart, it does me good like a medicine, and my spirit never has to be broken as long as I maintain a joyful of heart. My bones will not dry up, but always will be moist, as long as I live.

3John 2………….Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

CONFESSION: My soul prospers and I am blessed. I am prosperous in all things.

Mark 16:17………..these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; …they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

CONFESSION: I am a believer, my faith is active, I cast out demons, I speak with new tongues, I pick up serpents, if I drink any deadly thing it will not hurt me, I will lay hands on the sick (even my own body) and we will recover!

James 5:15…………the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

CONFESSION: The Lord will raise me up by the prayer of faith. If I have sinned, he will forgive me.

James 5:16………..Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.

CONFESSION: My confess of sins or trespasses to another person will give me the ability to accept Jesus forgiveness and grace. As the other person prays for me I am healed.

Matthew 8:13…………Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.

CONFESSION: My faith is active – I believe – as I go on my way I receive what I am believing for ~ My Health!

John 8:12, “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

CONFESSION:
I have the light of life in this world, darkness has no part in me, and I will not walk in darkness because I follow hard after Jesus.

John 8:28- 30, “Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” As He spoke these words, many believed in Him.”

CONFESSION:
As I lift up the Son of Man – Jesus – I know He is the One who DELIVERS my soul from the pit and from all destruction. As Jesus spoke on the earth I too align my words with His. As He confessed the Word of God so I will as well. His Father is my Father, He will not leave me alone. I am a child of God, a joint heir with Jesus Christ (the Anointed and His Anointing), as I follow after Him. I will find those things which are pleasing to Him and He will take His delight in me, for I seek not my own things but those things which are pleasing to Him.

John 8:31 – 32, “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

CONFESSION:
I will abide in Jesus Words, I WILL ABIDE IN HIS LOVE. I am Jesus disciple in WORD, DEED, AND TRUTH. YOUR WORDS ARE TRUTH, I will KNOW this TRUTH, and this TRUTH shall MAKE ME FREE!

John 15:1 -4, “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; F87 and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”

CONFESSION:
JESUS you are the true vine, I am one of Your branches. I honor You and Your Father God who is the vinedresser. Daily I approach You and daily I ask You to take away those things which are dead, lifeless, fruitless, and unworthy of You. I am cleansed by your Word and by Your voice spoken into me. I receive Your pruning so that I might bear more fruit for You. Your Word cleanses me. I chose to ABIDE in You, and I know You abide in me. I will be a fruitless branch if I depend upon my own self, therefore, I will not make my trust in me, but only in Jesus all the time!

John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

CONFESSION:
Jesus apart from You I can DO NOTHING, BUT WITH YOU, AS I ABIDE IN YOU and RECOGNIZE YOU IN ME, I CAN BEAR MUCH FRUIT.

John 15:6-8, “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will F88 ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”

CONFESSION:

3 John 2: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

CONFESSION:
I prosper as my soul prospers in understanding the Word of God and I will dwell in health.

Isaiah 1:18- 19 (NEW LIVING TRANSLATION), “Come now, let us argue this out,” says the LORD. “No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can remove it. I can make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you as white as wool. If you will only obey me and let me help you, then you will have plenty to eat.”

CONFESSION:
I PRESENT MYSELF DAILY BEFORE MY LORD, HE WASHES THE STAINS OF ALL MY SINS AND REMOVES IT COMPLETELY, AND MAKES ME AS PURE AS THE SNOW. I LOVE A GODLY LIFESTYLE, IN OBEDIENCE TO WHAT GOD SAYS IS RIGHT. BECAUSE I AM WILLING AND OBEDIENT, I EAT THE GOOD OF THE LAND.

Psalms 25:12-13 (NEW AMERICAN STANDARD), “Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.”

CONFESSION:
BECAUSE I FEAR THE LORD, HE TEACHES ME HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST, AND I LIVE WITHIN HIS CIRLE OF BLESSINGS.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18: Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE,” says the Lord. “AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you. “And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me, Says the Lord Almighty.”

CONFESSION:
I SEPARATE MYSELF FROM DARKNESS. MY DECISION IS TO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN. MY GOD WELCOMES ME AS A SON / DAUGHTER HE IS A FATHER TO ME.

PSALM 91:4 (NEW LIVING TRANSLATION), “He will shield you with his wings. He will shelter you with his feathers. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”

CONFESSION:
MY GOD COVERS ME AND I AM PROTECTED. HIS TRUTH ARE FAITHFUL PROMISES FOR ME, HE IS MY ARMOR AND PROTECTION. I WILL TRUST DAILY IN HIM AS I GO TO AND FRO, AND I WILL BE SECURE.

Confession is Made unto Salvation – or Healing…..

Why do I need to confess the Word with joy and shouting when I am hurting, feeling really sick and helpless and in need of healing or health? The writer of Hebrews tells us in Heb. 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (or felt). During bouts of sickness I find that I have been like many other people who by focusing on the pain and agony they experience in their bodies  make their confession agreeing with the pain thus blinding themselves from God’s possible solution.  I have found we have several choices:

1.  Endure the pain and try not to focus on it hoping it will soon leave,

2.  Seek the care of a doctor finding and taking medicine to get healed,

3.  Use my cultured faith, or build up and activate faith to believe in God’s Word to receive healing from His presence.

I have found there is a powerful correlation between our spirit and body and mind. If I can think a thought it has the potential to become a reality in my life. “As a man thinketh so is he.” Prv. 23:7a. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephs. 3:20-21. I never deny the pain by saying, “I am not sick, I am not sick.” Instead I say, “I am sick, but now in the name of Jesus, I allow His Word to heal me and I am recovering, or I am well. Thank you Jesus!”

The Apostle Paul prayed that the saints would be sanctified (set apart unto God) in their – SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY. My spirit and God’s spirit in me work together  transforming my faith as I read or listen to the Word of God being spoken. My mind, will, and emotions which make up my SOUL will be changed and faith will arise to accept the Word of God as truth. As I confess the Word my body which responds to what I say will believe in what I say and I will be changed or healed.

“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Roms. 10:17.  Faith is not a feeling although it is a noun in this passage of scripture. Active faith is formed out of a hope in my heart, which once I release this activation it is described or identified by a different word – BELIEVE.  The Word alive in me becomes a FACT OF FAITH WHEN I BELIEVE.  Let us build and release active faith, our confession then is not with mere words, but faith in  the Word of God, Believing Faith, “I Believe, I am healed, I believe the Words Jesus spoke are true for me, I believe what I say comes to pass, I believe I receive my healing.” Jesus said in Mark 11:22-24:

22 And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly].

²³Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.

²⁴For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].

“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak.” (Luke 6:45b) But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Roms. 10:8-10) The word saved here is also translated - healed.

Understand we live by faith and our confession secures for us its end result!  Activate your faith now – Believe the following scriptures and they will generate in you hope as you stand in FAITH PROCLAIMING GOD’S COVENANT PROMISES FOR HEALTH AND HEALING!

CONFESSIONS  FOR HEALING:

In Psa. 107:15 a reoccurring theme is a challenge to us all: “Oh that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!” (Amp).

Psa. 107:1-3 “O GIVE THANKS to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever! Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has delivered from the hand of the adversary, and gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, and the north and the south.”

I CONFESS:
SOOOOOOOOOO!!!!  I give you THANKS MY GOD! I am redeemed by the blood of the Jesus. He has delivered me from my enemies, He has delivered me from (name here the sickness attacking your body now)! My body is redeemed….I AM BELIEVING YOUR HEALING POWER IS RELEASED IN ME AND I AM SAYING – SO!

Psa. 107:9: “For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with good.” Amp

I CONFESS:

O my soul you are filled, I am hungry no more, for I am filled with good things! …I BELIEVE YOUR HEALING POWER IS RELEASED IN ME!

Psa. 107:17-20: “Some are fools [made ill] because of the way of their transgressions and are afflicted because of their iniquities (sins). They loathe (abhorred) every kind of food, and they draw near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivers them out of their distresses. He SENDS FORTH HIS WORD AND HEALS THEM AND RESCUES THEM FROM THE PIT AND DESTRUCTION.” (my caps)(amp.)

I CONFESS:
Though I was made ill because of my sins, I repent and forsake them now. This day I believe I receive forgiveness and I accept God’s Word into my heart by grace.  YOU ARE MY DELIVERER! YOU ARE MY HEALER! I TRUST IN YOUR WORD TODAY! I AM DELIVERED FROM THE PIT OF MY DESTRUCTION…

JOHN 10:10 “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” Amp. Bible

I CONFESS:
I receive the Life Jesus brought to me to have in abundance, I am overflowing in the abundance of Jesus healing Life and power! ….I BELIEVE YOUR HEALING POWER IS RELEASED IN ME!

Psa. 1031-3: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, BLESS HIS HOLY NAME! (NKJV) vs 2 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who HEALS [each one of] ALL YOUR DISEASES, Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies; Who SATISFIES your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]!”

I CONFESS:

I AM MORE THAN AN OVERCOMER, I AM LIKE AN EAGLE, I SOAR WITH GOD, MY YOUTH IS RENEWED, I AM CROWNED WITH LOVING-KINDNESS, I BLESS THE LORD WITH ALL MY SOUL, I BLESS YOUR HOLY NAME, YOU HEAL ME OF ALL THE DISEASES WHICH ATTACK ME! …MY HEALING IS HERE NOW!

Now I will simply state portions of scriptures and a confession:

I RECEIVE GOD’S WILL TO MAKE ME PROSPER IN ALL THINGS AND BE IN HEALTH, JUST AS MY SOUL PROSPERS IN HIM! ….I BELIEVE YOUR HEALING POWER IS RELEASED IN ME!

Ex. 15:26 “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I Am the LORD who heals you.” NKJV

I CONFESS:
BECAUSE I HEAR AND OBEY GOD’S VOICE AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT IN HIS SIGHT TO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS I KNOW GOD TO BE MY HEALER AND THE ONE WHO WILL PUT NO DISEASES UPON ME! ….I BELIEVE YOUR HEALING POWER IS RELEASED IN ME!

James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is not variation or shadow of turning.” NKJV

I CONFESS:
SINCE GOD ONLY GIVES GOOD AND PERFECT GIFTS TO ME, HE HAS NO SICKNESS OR DISEASE TO GIVE TO ME, HE GIVES ME LIFE AND HEALTH AND HEALING. ….I BELIEVE YOUR HEALING POWER IS RELEASED IN ME!

Matthew 8:2-3, “And behold, a leper came up to Him and prostrating himself, worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You are able to cleanse me by curing me. And He reached out His hand and touched him, saying, I AM WILLING; BE CLEANSED BY BEING CURED. (my caps) And instantly his leprosy was cured and cleansed.” Amp.

I CONFESS: I EXPECT MY HEALING!
JESUS YOU ARE ABLE AND WILLING TO CURE AND CLEANSE ME. I RECEIVE YOUR CURE AND CLEANSING NOW OF THIS (NAME THE SICKNESS ATTACKING YOU NOW)! YES, JESUS, I FEEL YOUR POWER FLOWING THROUGH ME, THE RELEASE OF YOUR HEALING PRESENCE – THANK YOU JESUS…I EXPECT MORE HEALING POWER TO BE RECEIVED!

James 4:7-8a “So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee (run in terror) from you. Come close to God and He will come close to you.” Amp.

I CONFESS:
I SUBJECT MYSELF TO GOD, I DRAW CLOSE TO GOD AND HE WILL DRAW CLOSE TO ME, I STAND FIRM AS I RESIST THE DEVIL AND he WILL FLEE RUNNING IN TERROR FROM ME! ….I BELIEVE YOUR HEALING POWER IS RELEASED IN ME!

1 Peter 2:24: “He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.” Amp.

I CONFESS:
I NO LONGER EXIST TO LIVE FOR SIN, BUT I LIVE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS, I ACCEPT HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS FOR THE SACRIFICE FOR MY SINS, AND BY HIS STRIPES AND WOUNDS I AM HEALED!  I WAS HEALED 2009 YEARS AGO AT THE CROSS AND RESURRECTION! …I RECEIVE AND POSSESS MY HEALING!

I APPLY THE FINISHED WORK OF THE CROSS OF JESUS. HIS BLOOD WAS SHED FOR ME AND HE REDEEMS MY LIFE FROM SIN AND HELL AND I AM HEALED, REDEEMED, AND FREED TO ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL . THANK YOU JESUS YOU ARE MY HEALER, DELIVERER, SAVIOUR, AND FREEDOM GIVER!

I AM DISCOVERING YOUR PROPHETIC PLAN FOR MY LIFE!  I GIVE YOU GLORY AND HONOR JESUS! AMEN.

Lesson 1- Jesus Purchased Our Healing On The Cross.  There are three main benefits of the Cross of Jesus: salvation, healing, and deliverance (or breaking of curses).

Mainline denominations through the years have preached heavily about the cross of Jesus and salvation from sins that He brought through it. However, did you know that there are two more benefits that are rarely preached, but hold just as much power and victory as the revelation of salvation from sins? Below you will see what the Three-in-One (God the Father, God the Son-Jesus and God the Holy Spirit) say about the 3-fold work of the cross of Jesus.

Remember these same scriptures work today for you or for those you pray for. If you or one who you are praying for get afflicted with sickness, you can apply the finished work of the cross to receive your healing and deliverance. Jesus bought and paid for all that we would ever need when He sacrificed His life on the tree.

Matt.18:18-20 Jesus gives us a promise: “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Note: We are simply agreeing with the finished work of Jesus’ cross and shed blood. When we bind and loose, it has actually been done in the Spiritual realm already, but we are enforcing the law like a policeman. The NASV translation says “whatever you bind, has already been bound in heaven.” So when we bind, we are agreeing with Jesus and telling the heavens and/or demons that they are bound and Jesus’ grace and power and victory are ours.) “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

In T.L. Osborn’s book on Healing the Sick, he points out that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all call sickness a bondage or captivity.

Is Sickness A Blessing Or A Curse?

1. God Calls Sickness: Captivity
Job 42:10 The Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends, “so went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown” (Job 2:7).

When Job was healed by God the Scriptures record the great healing of this man of God as deliverance from captivity. Captivity could not be the will of God. Jesus came in the Spirit of the Lord to preach deliverance to the captives (Luke 4:18).

This was a promise prophesied of the Messiah in Isa. 53:3-4. So we see that God calls sickness captivity.

2. Jesus Calls Sickness: Bondage

“Ought not this woman whom Satan has bound for low these 18 years be loosed from this bondage?” (Luke 13:16) “Jesus, seeing this woman bowed over, said to her, ‘Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity’” (v. 12).

NOTE: He said Satan had bound her. He never once inferred that His loving Father, in an effort to perfect some hidden quality in her life, had bound her. God does not bind people — He looses them! Jesus never said that this woman was bowed over to keep her humble, or that it was a mysterious way God had of working out His will in her life. Jesus said Satan had bound her.

Bondage could not be the will of God. Jesus came to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18) It was prophesied of His ministry that it would loose the bands, undo the heavy burdens, and “break every yoke” (Is 58:6).

So we see that Jesus called sickness bondage, and every bound person is commanded to be loosed – to be set free. Jesus came as “the way, the truth and the life” (John 4:16). He said, “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

3. The Holy Spirit Calls Sickness: Oppression

Acts 10:38 says that Jesus “went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil.” This is the language of the Holy Spirit because, while Peter was speaking these words, everyone who listened to him was filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, speaking through Peter, at the house of Cornelius, said that sickness is oppression.

God does not intend for you to be oppressed with any form of sickness or any other kind of oppression. Jesus, according to the words of the prophet Isaiah, came to let the oppressed go free (Isa 58:6).

Jesus Became A Curse For Us:

Gal. 3:13 says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs upon a tree, therefore Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.” This is salvation from curses.

Many sicknesses can be traced through your heritage. Most doctors identify sicknesses as just short of genetic, but an inheritance of sickness. In my case I had asthma and it went back 4 generations on my mother’s side of the family of those afflicted with this disease. It was a curse of sickness and a spirit of infirmity. As I applied the finished work of the cross, stood in faith proclaiming the Word of God as my health and healing, this curse was broken in Jesus name. This led the way for my healing to manifest and for the demon or spirit of infirmity to leave.

There are many curses throughout the Bible and some can be found in chapter 28 of Deuteronomy. At any rate Jesus delivers us from them all. But we must believe and receive for it to become effective in us. We must appropriate our freedom by claiming them ourselves. Our faith applied will free us!

Jesus’ Cross Broke The Power Of Sin

Jesus was the sacrificial lamb that God used to place all of the sins of all people of all time so that all people could be forgiven.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Liberty, freedom, deliverance, broken yokes, released burdens, and liberated captives are the great mercies of the New Testament.

Accept the power of the finished work of the Cross of Jesus. Be forgiven of your sins. Agree with what God calls sickness: captivity; Jesus calls it: bondage; and the Holy Spirit calls it: oppression. Align your attitude with that of the Godhead, believe and receive and be made whole, forgiven and delivered!  Your attitude will change your altitude!

“If sickness is the will of God then why are so many people trying to get rid of the will of God by going to doctors or having Pastors pray for them?” quote by T. L. Osborn, book Healing the Sick.

Maybe we have been praying wrong, we should pray that God will make many people sick so that He can get all the glory! That would be really silly. Wouldn’t it? Most people are trying to get set free, but they wrongly put the blame on God for their sicknesses.

Sometimes God allows sickness to come upon us, but this is usually after much effort to convict us of our sins and our need to repent. The work of Jesus shown in the miracles He performed and the Words that He spoke reveal the will of God in the area of healing.

When you find the will of God: your health, and your healing, then seek God to set you free! “Whom the Son sets free, is free indeed.” Once freed you can tell others the good news and pray for them for their healing freedom!

Here are a few verses to support healing:

John 8:36, NKJV:  “If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.”

John 8:32  “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.”

Gal 5:1:  “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.”

Do not subject yourself or your body back to the attack of your enemy. You might still feel the pain, for the attack is partly in your mind and the rest is in your body. Your fight is a fight of faith, what you believe should dictate your state of being – your Healing – verses what you are feeling. When pain attacks me, I always view it as from my enemy who is trying to rob me of God’s perfect will – My Healing. My loving God reveals His will: my health, I have to be healthy and able, to continue to build His Kingdom on this earth.

3 John 2 reveals that God’s will for us is health. It says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth.”

The key to health, as per Apostle John, is to embrace the truth and walk in it, not embrace the pain or the sickness and walk in it. Have you ever heard the term “I caught a cold,” or “I came down with this sickness”? Well, drop that cold, don’t catch it! Rise up O saint of God, “let God arise and your enemies [including sicknesses] be scattered!” (Psalm 68:1).

As in all victories we sing after we come through the battle victorious, right? Well, sing during the battle because the battle is the Lord’s even though we must stand and fight! Read Psa. 68: 1-35, there are many famous scriptures that are quoted continuously by many great men and women of God. Pay attention to verses: 3, 6, 18-20, 28, 32-35. They say:

Psalm 68:3 “But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.”

6 God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

18 “You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the LORD God might dwell there.”

19 Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah

20 “Our God is the God of salvation; And to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death.”

28 “Your God has commanded your strength; Strengthen, O God, what You have done for us.”

32 “Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; Oh, sing praises to the Lord, Selah.”

33 “To Him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which were of old! Indeed, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice. “

34 “Ascribe strength to God; His excellence is over Israel, And His strength is in the clouds.”

35 “O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people.”

Whom Will You Believe?

Your words will either defeat you or enforce the victory that Jesus cross provided for you. Whom will you believe? What words will you speak? Words of faith and victory or words of doubt and defeat? Do you know what FEAR is?  Negative faith, or faith in death.  Don’t yield to Fear, for where fear is, doubt and unbelief and defeat are very near!

Jesus died so that we could have life, healing, and provision. He became poor that we might become rich. Richness should not be related to money alone, for those who suffer terribly in their bodies with sickness, richness is definitely a healthy body.

LEARN HOW TO BUILD YOUR SHIELD OF FAITH FOR HEALING

Do you want the victory? Record the scriptures God gives you by revelation or rhema, keep them before you and on your lips. Memorize them simply by praying them everyday until you come to the place that you know them to be the truth in your life. You are convinced that they are not just words from the Bible, but words from God to you. You are building your shield of faith – faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Here are some scriptures that are great to meditate on — look them up, study them, get them into your heart and being for they will promote health in you: Job 42:10, Job 2:7, Psa. 103:1-4, Psa. 107: 1-3, 20; Luke 4:18; Isa. 53:3-5; Acts 10:38; Isa 58:6; Jn 14:16; Gal 5:1; 1 Peter 2:24; Heb. 11:1, 6; James 5:14-16 (NKJV)

USE YOUR SHIELD OF FAITH – IT IS A WEAPON OF WAR

I have seen in many older homes hanging on their wall as an ornament a sword and shield. In the Christian faith our shield is a very necessary part of our armor which is to be used everyday.  What is the shield?  It is called the SHIELD OF FAITH, meaning when we hold it up our FAITH SHOULD BE ACTIVE!  “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Rom. 10:17) I find one of the easiest ways to build my shield is by memorizing the Rhema Words given to me in my conversations with God.

There are many other scriptures but these will help get you started in building your shield of faith as you believe. Remember, don’t leave your shield at home hanging on your wall or placed in your closet, but at the moment of attack by sickness or pain, lift up your shield of faith, pray or speak the scriptures that fill your heart and proclaim the blood of Jesus over your life and body.

Pray this prayer and agree with me for you:

“Jesus, I accept your sacrifice on the cross for me, your blood shed saves me from sins, your stripes healed my sicknesses and pains, therefore, I apply your blood to free me.
