Are you interested in Colors?  What is your Favorite Color?

As I write to you today I find myself looking over a rolling hill partially covered with clover, and bare but freshly planted ground. The sun is shining, awakening the dawn. As I sit on the porch of the newly built home of Pastor Brad, the air I am breathing is fresh and clean. The temperature is still chilly, but it is pleasant to my soul.  It is spring time in Iowa.

Recently I was in Charlotte, North Carolina, attending an Apostolic Conference. I met with friends I had never met personally but had been in communication with over the Internet for the last 10 years.  As we went to the meetings, I noticed the trees were blooming with beautiful colorful blossoms; red, white, purple, and many different shades of those colors. I love spring time, the earth is waking up from a long winter’s sleep, and trees which have looked dead come alive bearing new leaves.  It seems since I am traveling to different parts of the USA, God is allowing me to enjoy Spring and its blossoming all over again!

NEW LIFE,  NEW JOY,  NEW SHALOM!

The Lord awoke me this morning and spoke to me that whenever I write to you I can only share with you a few things which are presently going on with me and my ministry. It is like taking a snap shot from the camera and passing the photo to you.    It has been a few weeks since you have seen snapshots from me.  However, if you wish to visit my webpage regularly: http://rustyrussellsblog.com,  could see more frequent updates. Just before I share with you a few testimonies of how an encounter with our living Jesus has changed some lives, let me ask you two questions:

1. Do you know the true meaning of the Hebrew word used to express a greeting or salutation – SHALOM – PEACE?

2.  What is your favorite COLOR, and do Colors have a meaning in the Bible?

SHALOM – PEACE

I SEND TO YOU SOME SHALOM – PEACE FROM ME TO YOU!

This is an extended definition from the Hebrew Lexicon for SHALOM:  COMPLETENESS, SAFETY, SOUNDNESS (IN BODY) , WELFARE, HEALTH , PROSPERITY, PEACE, QUIET, TRANQUILITY, CONTENTMENT, PEACE USED OF HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS, AND PEACE FROM WAR.

When you and I greet each other with Peace or Shalom we are actually making or sending our DECLARATION of Shalom.  Faith is releasing God’s Peace into every situation. If we will receive Shalom then, God can impart His completeness, safety, soundness in body and mind, welfare, health, prosperity, peace, quietness (trust), tranquility, contentment, and peace from war!  In these troubled days of the World Economic crisis, unstable governments, angry people seeking a change, sick relatives and friends, and so much pain and suffering, we actually NEED GOD’S SHALOM!  Part of God’s character found in the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, and peace.

When I pray in the Holy Spirit’s language, I am stirred and built up in my Faith.  When I minister the Word, many times prayers and declarations come forth;sometimes prophesies flow from Heaven through me to others. These words have a powerful result, releasing from God words which speak into one’s condition leaving hope and peace and healing. Courage to fight the good fight of faith and war a good warfare as Timothy quoted from the Bible is imparted.

Let me make a Faith Declaration over you now!  Receive it in faith and expect Jesus to reveal His path, plan, direction, touch, and healing to you!!  SHALOM!  PEACE! HEALTH! HEALING! PROSPERITY – FULLNESS OF SUPPLY! CONTENTMENT IN FAMILY AND BUSINESS! COMPLETENESS AND SUCCESS!  EVERY DECISION BECOME CLEAR NOW, ALL DEALS COME TOGETHER – PEACE OVER CONTRACTS, PEACE OVER MARRIAGES, PEACE WITH CHILDREN, SAFETY AND WELFARE.  Jesus protect us all from those who would do us damage or lead us astray or who would rob us. I command and release Your Angels to assist us on our left and right, front and behind, above and beneath into every place we go!  Thank you Jesus!  YOU ARE HERE WITHUS NOW!  Glory to God!

COLORS

When you gather in your church celebrations, do some of you saints wave banners, or flags, or rings with colorful ribbons on them? The scripture says, “His Banner over me is love.” Do Colors have a prophetic meaning?

Today I am speaking at Solid Rock Christian Church with Pastor Brad Sherman. These notes on FLAGS AND HOOPS and their COLORS are in his bulletin:

When one waves a flag or hoop of colorful ribbons we believe they are symbolic of intercession and prayer for things of God.  The Colors have meaning too. Here are some of the common meanings attached to colors:

Red is the color of fire, and so symbolizes the presence of God.  It can also represent the blood of Jesus.

Green symbolizes the renewal of vegetation and  living things, and the promise of new life.

Gold symbolizes the Character of God, Christlikeness, the Divine Nature, and Majesty. It also symbolizes the presence of God.

Yellow symbolizes light which in turn is a symbol of the presence of God.  It is also symbolic of renewal and hope, especially in the resurrection of Jesus.  It is often used as an alternate color for Gold.

White symbolizes purity, holiness, and virtue, as well as respect and reverence.

Purple and Royal Blue These are the colors of royalty to welcome the coming of a King!

Special Note: One flag waver, Joyce said, “As I use this flag the Lord shows me He showers down His presence within the meeting.” Just this morning in the Solid Rock Christian Church, a number of the saints were waving flags. During the message I COULD SEE THE GLORY CLOUD OF GOD LIKE A FINE MIST – INTERESTINGLY IT WAS IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA WHERE THEY HAD BEEN WAVING THE FLAGS IN WORSHIP!  YES! LORD JESUS!  In the second service in the evening Joyce, myself and others waved many flags. Joyce twirled one flag which she later told me symbolizes the Holy Spirit coming down and into our place of worship.  During the service I invited all who gathered to turn around and look above our heads, there many of us witnessed the glory cloud of Jesus!  Some of us smelled sweet fragrances of peppermint, olive oil, and flowers which we believe were from Jesus! One young man smelled sulfur brush past him, he had just witnessed a demon of sickness leave his father while he was receiving prayer, his father smelt it as well!

TESTIMONIES

I was recently in a cell group on a Saturday night to share about Jesus’ power in me. However, the leaders of the group desired to share several mission reports and only would be able to give me a few minutes to share, with the stipulation that I should NOT prophesy since they are very conservative. But thanks be to God who can use a few minutes to pour out His anointing, releasing His awakening in us.

During my time I shared how I had been sent to this country by providence years ago. Our Father used me to raise up a prophet on that first trip. I shared with them that the Lord had a prophecy for several who were present, but since I was asked not to prophesy, I asked if I could release one prophecy. They said,“Yes,” and I prophesied over the Elder who had invited me. It was anointed and awesome. I then proceeded to share a little on the will of God for healing. As I shared words of knowledge for healing, about half of the people present stood up answering the direct words of knowledge.

As I prayed for the healing power of Jesus to be released, many could feel the power of Jesus set them free!  When a young lady who was suffering from back pain and one leg shorted than the other sat down in a chair,  I invited everyone to look on with me. THEY ALL SAW HER LEG GROW OUT!  MANY OF THE YOUTH WERE SHOCKED! BLESSED!  AND EXCITED!  jumping up and down in joy!

When one of the other leaders sat down and said that his foot was turned in and his knee hurt terribly, he voiced a bit of hesitation that he might not get healed.  I simply and humbly asked him to believe.  The moment I prayed his foot both lengthened and straightened out!  Now this conservative hesitant brother is desiring with the rest of the cell group for me to return, not for a night, but for a whole day retreat to teach them how to move in the prophetic and healing ministry.   Amen! God makes His ways known to us! Can you give him a few minutes of your time?

I HEARD THE AUDIBLE VOICE OF GOD….

“Rusty, I have digestive problems; it is I whom the Lord showed you stands in the need of prayer.” As I laid my hands on him to pray, I heard someone say, “Heart problems.” I find out later that NO ONE IN THE GROUP HAD SAID ~ HEART PROBLEMS ~ WOW! YES! IT WAS JESUS’ VOICE!  I continued to pray,breaking generational curses of heart disease and clogged arteries. In a vision I could see in the spirit his heart and veins healing.  Later in the kitchen as he was fellowshipping and eating, he asked my friend, “How did he know of my heart condition?  My whole family line has the same problem and I take medicine everyday for the thing he prayed over me!” It is a MIRACLE!

A teenager spoke to her Mum and said, “Oh, I am so shy, but I think I have missed my appointment with Jesus!” Almost to the point of tears she shared, “If I were not so shy possibly God would have said something to me.” Her mother wisely said, “Honey, if it were your time to receive, then heaven and earth would not have stopped the Lord from giving you the word; there will be another appointed time for you.” (a wise mother)

As I prayed over each person, each was healed. Each believer placed his hands on the next person in line – No one was disappointed – the power of Jesus manifested releasing more healing. Each person marveled that Jesus used him as well! Excitement built in all as they too became the fulfillment of Mark 16:17-18!  Glory!

One last testimony, there are so many; when I was in Minneapolis a few days ago in Pastor Bruce Harpel’s church.  Associate Pastor Parnell sent me this report:

“Rusty, you prophesied accurately to Mike, a grad student at U of M, and a young believer.  Only last week he attended Maranatha Church for the first time. He received God’s touch during praise and worship receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. You accurately prophesied over him that he loves Jesus and wants to serve him with all his heart.  Rusty, you went on to prophesy that Mike had much experience with cults and didn’t want any of them anymore.  You bound and rebuked family curses and cult influence as well as the spirit of death, murder, and anger.  You ministered the blood of Jesus over Mike, and he was clearly overwhelmed by the presence of the Holy Spirit – going down on his knees and crouching on the floor. After being stood up again he was rocking back and forth like he was in Jesus’ embrace.”

DEMONS MUST BOW THEIR KNEE TO JESUS Rusty sharing in Minneapolis

While I prayed for Mike, breaking the power of the Occult, another student sitting on my left began to manifest contortions on his face. This is a tell tale sign of demonic influence or oppression in one’s life.  When I completed my ministry to Mike I went to pray for this student.  As I addressed him, the Holy Spirit rose up in me binding the demons which were in him and attacking him. I began to prophesy over him, but all of a sudden the demons in him interrupted the prophesy with words too vile to repeat. The demons used him to curse God, curse Jesus and His blood. They demanded with an ugly voice,  “We do not have to go! You can’t cast us out, he belongs to us!  You don’t have the power to cast us out.”

Obviously  sin was a connection of their authority over him which still remained and needed to be removed through repentance of sins.  With complete confidence I laughed at the demons. I declared to them that Jesus’ power would free this man. After the service I led him in prayers of repentance and of renouncing these demons.  The profane demons and familiar spirits and false light spirits were successfully cast out. His countenance changed and more freedom came to him. He had been steeped in “New Age Occult practices” and had studied to be a high priest able to cast spells, etc.  It was revealed that he still possessed occult books and CD’s. He responded, “Yes, that is true.  There are a few more I need to burn and rid myself of them and their powers.” Later that night, like the saints did in the Book of Acts, he and his friends started a bond fire and burned the books, cd’s and some idol statues he had!  He declared, “I am free!  These demons can’t stay in me anymore!” And he is free today!  Praise the Lord!

A foreign student from Asia has been befriended by the members of this church.  He is still a pre-believer.  He faithfully comes to the Bible studies and Church meetings. Last night, however, was special for him. He later wrote on his Face Book page: “God Speaks!!!” I was led to prophesy over him. The Lord spoke that he was trying to understand God and figure Him out; he was trying to understand mathematically. I didn’t know that over the last few months he had changed his major to Math.  He was genuinely discovering that God really does know him, love him, and invites him to follow Jesus.  I am sure it will not take long for him to make his decision to follow Jesus!
