The Power of the Gift of Prophecy
The Gift of Prophecy is one of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus had commanded his disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they be endued with power from on high, He was received up into heaven. In that upper room the book of Acts 1 records that there were 120 believers waiting. They waited for 10 days. When the Feast of Pentecost had fully come Jesus’ promise was sent by God to them. In the heavens all could hear the roar of a loud rushing mighty wind and the Holy Spirit came upon them all. The report in Acts 2, said that there were tongues of fire on their heads and they all spoke in tongues and glorified God. This was the beginning of the New Testament Church.
I will be sharing soon teaching on the Gift of Prophecy. A short definition is this: One who moves under the anointing of the Holy Spirit speaking a revelatory message from God, telling forth the future, revealing past events or truths of ones life, and speaking of the truth from God about the present. This can happen for an individual or a group of people, a church, a city, or a nation.
Here is a testimony from Victor. He is part of the music team in a church in Singapore. By his own testimony he is glorifying Jesus because God revealed his thoughts of killing himself because of his massive losses. But the word of Prophecy set him free to believe God for a better Victory!
