Here are some scriptures that are great to meditate on — when I meditate, I speak them out loud, I roll them over in my mind, I listen to them being read out loud, – as we get these into our hearts they will promote health in you and hopefully bring you into a place of greater expectation for success, these are taken from the Amplified Bible unless otherwise marked:
Job 42:10: And the Lord turned the captivity of Job and restored his fortunes, when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Deut. 30:1-3: AND WHEN all these things have come upon you, the blessings and the curses which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you,
2And shall return to the Lord your God and obey His voice according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your [mind and] heart and with all your being,
3Then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion upon you and will gather you again from all the nations where He has scattered you.
Psa. 126:1: WHEN THE Lord brought back the captives [who returned] to Zion, we were like those who dream [it seemed so unreal].
Job 2:7: So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord and smote Job with loathsome and painful sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. (NOTE: It was Satan who smote Job, not God, although He allowed it to happen. He trusted Job to make his stand for God and trust in God’s goodness, provision, and help in his time of need. Which was justified. God did deliver Job and restored to him all which was stolen, lost, or destroyed by Satan. Thus, God is our redeemer and healer.)
Psa. 103:1-5: 1BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! (NOTE: This is a wonder I do daily! I command my soul to Bless the Lord and His holy name!)
2Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits–
3Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,
4Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;
5Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]!
Psa. 107: 1-3, 19-21: 1O GIVE thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!
2Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has delivered from the hand of the adversary,
3And gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the [Red] Sea in the south.
19Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivers them out of their distresses.
20He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.
21Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men! (NOTE: Four times in this chapter it is recorded they cried to the Lord in their trouble, not after they got out of trouble, but when they were in it, so whether we are in trouble, sickness, pain, suffering, or in need of anything, we should cry out to the Lord in faith expecting to receive from Him. They received: He delivered them out of their distresses, He saved them out of their distresses, He delivers them out of their distresses, He brings them out of their distresses. So, as I trust in, meditate on, and confess these scriptures, I too can expect to be delivered, saved, and brought out! Glory to Jesus!)
Luke 4:18-19; 18The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity],
19To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound].
Isa. 53:3-5; He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him.
4Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].
5But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
Acts 10:38; How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.
Isa 58:6; 6[Rather] is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every [enslaving] yoke?
Jn 14:16-18; 16And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever–
17The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.
18I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.
Gal 5:1; IN [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].
13For you, brethren, were [indeed] called to freedom; only [do not let your] freedom be an incentive to your flesh and an opportunity or excuse [for selfishness], but through love you should serve one another.
1Peter 2:24; He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.
Heb. 11:1, 6; 1NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
6But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].
Romans 10:17: 17So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (NKJV)
James 5:14-16 14Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name.
15And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
